Dancehall recording artist Rygin King has finally broken his silence after being gunned down exactly one month ago.

A post today on his official Instagram page stated, "Just wanted to let you know Rygin King is sending a heartfelt thank you to all well wishers, friends and family for their prayers and thoughts through this difficult time. Rygin King cannot thank you enough for the encouragements and motivation meanwhile gaining strength & courage to make a full recovery."

The post also went on to say that the artist thanks the different hospital staff for taking such great care of him and the ministers who assisted in any way possible. Special honorable mentions went to Miss Olivia Babsy Grange, Dr. Christopher Tufton and Dr. Horace Chang for the immediate response and direction.

"I will live through this ordeal and I can take the next step that comes along with the Most High by my side.  My fans show me support and I am goring to make them proud, just know 'One King' soon step out," said Rygin King.

It was reported that Rygin King was shot on June 28th after leaving a funeral in Westmorland. It was stated that he was travelling in a convoy in Bethel Town when one of the cars was involved in a collision. While repairs were being made on the car another vehicle drove up and shots were fired and hit the bystanders with bullets, including the artist.

During the shooting a woman, 28-year-old, Sashalee Blackwood was shot and succumbed to her injuries, while another recording artist, Goon, was shot in his foot.
